🎶 Did You Know? We Bring Music to Toddlers and Preschools!

Most of our Metro Music Makers families know us for our private lessons, but did you know we also offer Music & Movement classes designed for little ones ages 18 months to 4 years old?
As a music therapist and teacher, I’ve always loved working with our youngest students. There’s nothing quite like the joy that lights up on a toddler’s face when they shake a shaker for the first time or sing a silly song with their friends. In those moments, you can see the magic of discovery. Music becomes their language for play, connection, and growth.
As a mom, I’ve experienced this firsthand, too. I took my own son (who’s now 16!) to music and movement classes when he was little, and I loved watching how much he grew through them. Those classes gave him a foundation for rhythm, listening, and creativity that made his transition into private lessons in Kindergarten feel smooth and natural. It was such a gift to see him begin his musical journey that way.
Here are just a few of the benefits of starting young:

And here’s something many families don’t know: we partner directly with preschools, Montessori schools, and early learning centers to bring our program right into the classroom. Parents don’t have to add “one more activity” to their schedule—music comes to them!
While all of our core values guide what we do, the one we’ve chosen to highlight this year is pursuing growth. To me, that growth is never clearer than when I see a child’s first spark of joy in music. Every shaker shake, every song, every playful rhythm is growth in action.
