A Fresh Start and Meaningful Connections

A new year, a reset, and finding connection through music—even with a broken foot.

Dear ,

Happy New Year!

As we step into 2026, we’re excited to lean into our focus for the year: Connecting Through Music. A new year always brings an opportunity to hit reset, and we’re encouraging both our teachers and students to do just that—with fresh energy, renewed focus, and a deeper sense of connection through music.

A reset doesn’t mean starting over. It means pausing, reflecting, and recommitting to what matters most. In our lessons, that might look like revisiting goals, exploring new music, or simply showing up with curiosity and intention. Music has a powerful way of bringing us back to ourselves and to one another, and that’s something we’ll be emphasizing all year long.

On a personal note, I had an unexpected reset of my own over the holidays—I broke my foot. Not exactly how I planned to start the year! But it’s given me a new perspective. I’ve been focusing on what I can do instead of what I can’t, and it’s been a reminder that meaningful connection doesn’t stop when things feel inconvenient or challenging. If anything, it becomes even more important.

As we move forward together, my hope is that this season feels like an invitation—to reconnect, to reimagine, and to keep letting music be a bridge between us.

Thank you for being part of our community. We’re so glad to start this new year with you.

Keep learning, keep growing, and let the music lead the way.

What (Grand)Parents Are Saying...

"Just a note of thanks from the grandparents of Lauren and Spencer Cavin, former students of MMM, to express our appreciation for the wonderful program you have and the instructors. Spencer is at the Naval Academy with his guitar, and Lauren is at Colorado State U. with her guitar and is combining her songwriting skills with her English major. Your program was an important part of instilling discipline and passion in their young lives, and as I tried to remind them, they could enjoy music for a lifetime, and if no one else, entertain themselves.  Many thanks, and continue the good work. MMM is an asset to our community."
