You felt it too, right? πΆ |
Dear , |
Iβm still thinking about Sunday.
There are some showcases that feel good, and then there are the ones where you can just feel that something special is happening in the room.
This was one of those.

From start to finish, these were some of the best performances weβve seen. Not just technically, but in confidence, expression, and presence. You could see how much each student has grown.
And I have to say, our audience played a huge part in that.
The warmth, the energy, the way every single student was met with real, enthusiastic applause⦠that matters more than we can ever fully put into words. It gives students something to hold onto. It builds confidence right there in the moment.

So to everyone who showed up and showed that kind of support, thank you. Truly.
We also have to give a big shoutout to Eddie Owen and his team at the Red Clay. They create such an incredible environment for our students. Being on a professional stage with a dedicated sound team running everything behind the scenes is an experience most students only ever dream about, and our students got to live it.

So, what now?
This is actually one of my favorite moments.
Because performances like this donβt just end. They build something.
Theyβre momentum-makers.
This is when students start thinking: What songs did I love?
Do I want to learn that?
What do I want to try next?
How can I challenge myself a little more?
That excitement right after a performance is where so much growth happens.
And honestly, thatβs what I look forward to the most from one showcase to the next. Watching each student grow in their own way. Seeing those moments where something clicks, or they surprise themselves, or they just feel proud of what they did.
It never gets old. It really doesnβt.
I feel so lucky to get to experience all of this with our Metro Music Makers community.
Keep learning, keep growing, and let the music lead the way.

Summer Is One of Our Favorite Seasons πΆ
Thereβs something special about summer lessons. The pace shifts, creativity opens up, and students get the chance to explore music in a whole new way.
Itβs the perfect time to try a new instrument, learn that fun song theyβve been wanting to play, or switch things up with something fresh and inspiring. With fewer school-time pressures, we often see students relax, build confidence, and make real progress.
We also know summer schedules can be all over the place with camps, vacations, and family plans. Thatβs why our flex scheduling makes it easy to keep music going without the stress.
The best next step is simple:
Talk with your teacher and get your summer lesson days and times on the calendar early. A little planning now makes everything smoother later and helps you keep a consistent rhythm all season long.
We canβt wait to make music with you this summer.
